Most expense trackers quietly assume every payment is a card payment. GlobeSpend tracks the physical cash in your wallet, per currency, per trip. When you spend cash it converts at the rate you actually got when you withdrew or exchanged it, not at the market rate that day. The balance you see is the money in your pocket.
Invite the people you are travelling with by QR code, or add companions who do not have the app at all. Split evenly or by exact amounts, record who actually paid, and GlobeSpend works out the smallest set of payments that clears everyone. Record a payment and the balance closes.
Choose a base currency for each trip and every total converts into it automatically. 152 currencies are supported, with exchange rates updated several times a day. Got a poor rate at a bureau de change? Save it as a custom rate and your totals follow what really happened.
Every trip you log builds a lifetime picture: total spent across all trips, the countries you have visited, and how this trip compares with the last one. It is the part of tracking a travel budget you only really appreciate a few years in.
